Best CRM for Insurance Agents and Brokers (2026): 4 Options Compared
We compare AgencyZoom, InsuredMine, AgencyBloc and Zoho CRM for insurance agencies: renewals, AMS integration, pricing model and fit for P&C or health agents.
An insurance agency lives on two cycles: the sales cycle that brings a new household in, and the renewal cycle that keeps it. Most agencies handle the first with a lead list and the second with whatever their agency management system reminds them about. The gaps are where the money goes: a quote nobody followed up, a renewal that went to a competitor, a home-and-auto customer who was never offered an umbrella policy.
The best CRM for insurance agents and brokers closes those gaps, whether you sell property and casualty (P&C) lines such as home and auto, or health and benefits. We compared four options, three built for insurance and one general CRM, on the jobs an agency actually does and on how each one prices.

How we chose
We started from the jobs an independent agency or broker needs its CRM to do:
- Manage leads and quotes in a pipeline, with automatic follow-up so no quote goes cold.
- Automate renewals, with reminders and outreach well before each policy’s renewal date.
- Find cross-sell opportunities across a household’s policies.
- Connect to the agency management system (AMS), so policy data does not have to be keyed twice, and ideally to your comparative rater (quoting tool).
- Track referrals and producer performance, including sales goals and commissions.
We read each vendor’s own pricing page. Two of the four do not publish prices, and we say so. Read more about how we review.

- $149/mo

- $349/mo

- Up to 20% off
AgencyZoom, part of Vertafore, is built for the sales and retention side of an insurance agency. It does not replace your agency management system; it works alongside it. The AMS plans connect to most major agency management systems, alongside lead management and lead integrations, rater integration, sales tracking, onboarding automation, referral tracking and producer referral sites.
The tiers add retention tools as you go up. The $149 tier covers prospecting automation, goals, revenue and sales tracking, tasks and referrals. The $199 tier adds renewal automation, Google Reviews, and 2-way email and texting. The $349 tier adds events automation, a service center, click-to-call and an activity tracker. AgencyZoom also lists separate $99 and $129 plans that include renewal and winback automation, a comp calculator with chargebacks and a mobile app, but they do not list AMS integration.
Which plan to pick: the $199 tier for most agencies, since renewal automation and 2-way texting are the features that protect your book. The $149 tier suits a new agency focused on new business. If you do not need the AMS connection, compare the $99 and $129 plans, which include renewal automation.
Watch out for: billing and integrations. The pricing page offers up to 20% off for annual billing, so confirm which billing term the price you see reflects. AgencyZoom also notes that some AMS integrations may require additional costs; ask about yours before the trial ends. Onboarding takes 2 to 4 weeks on average.
InsuredMine
Best for agencies that want marketing, texting and a client app tied to their AMS
What we like
- Email, texts, sales pipelines and integrations included in the trial
- AMS integration available once you become a client
- Co-branded client-facing mobile app and SSO on its top package
- Month-to-month or annual subscriptions; annual saves 5%, or 10% if paid upfront
Watch out for
- Prices were not readable on the pricing page when we checked
- Monthly subscriptions need 30 days' notice to cancel
- AMS integration is not available during the trial
- Pricing
- Quote only
- Extra texts
- 1,000 for $10/mo
- Extra emails
- 10,000 for $10/mo
- Annual discount
- 5%, or 10% paid upfront
InsuredMine is an insurance CRM with a strong focus on client communication. Its trial gives you full use of email, texts, sales pipelines and all integrations except the agency management system connection, which is added once you become a client. Its top package lists a dedicated account manager, SSO with Active Directory, monthly custom training, custom development and a co-branded client-facing mobile app.
It suits an agency that wants to run renewal campaigns, birthday and policy-review messages and cross-sell outreach from the same system that holds its policy data.
Which plan to pick: ask for a quote on the package that includes your AMS integration, and confirm how many emails and texts are included before you compare add-on costs.
Watch out for: commitment terms. Monthly plans need 30 days’ notice to cancel, and InsuredMine says returning clients are subject to a different cancellation policy. Its pricing page describes “one price, no surprise”, but the numbers did not display when we checked.
AgencyBloc

- Commissions+ and Quote+ are priced separately from AMS+
- AMS+ packages
- Grow, Accelerate, Elevate
- Commissions+
- By transaction volume
- Quote+
- By groups quoted
- Pricing
- Quote only
AgencyBloc is the specialist choice for agencies selling individual health, Medicare, senior and group benefits products. Its AMS+ platform combines a health-specific CRM with customer and policy management, automated servicing workflows, electronic Scope of Appointment and ACA consent forms, appointment scheduling, lead management with routing, integrated VoIP and email and text marketing.
Two separate products extend it. Commissions+ imports carrier data, tracks bonuses, advances and overrides, produces agent statements and flags missed commissions. Quote+ lets small group brokers quote, build proposals and handle enrollment.
Which plan to pick: start with a demo of AMS+ and compare the Grow, Accelerate and Elevate packages. Grow includes basic automated workflows and texting; Accelerate and Elevate include the premium versions.
Watch out for: fit. AgencyBloc is designed for health, senior and benefits business. A P&C agency will be better served by AgencyZoom or InsuredMine.
Zoho CRM
Best for small agencies willing to customize a general CRM
What we like
- Free edition for up to 3 users
- Custom modules and fields can model policies and renewal dates
- Workflows for renewal reminders and follow-ups
- Monthly or annual billing, no contract
Watch out for
- No insurance-specific features or AMS integrations out of the box
- Setup takes time and some admin skill
- Faster support needs a paid support plan
- Free
- Up to 3 users
- Standard
- $14/user/mo annual, $20 monthly
- Professional
- $23/user/mo annual, $35 monthly
- Contract
- None
A general CRM can work for a small agency that mainly needs a pipeline and reminders. Zoho CRM is the most affordable way to do it: free for up to 3 users, then $14 per user per month billed annually. Its paid editions add multiple pipelines, custom modules and workflows, which you can use to store policies, renewal dates and cross-sell flags on each client.
Which plan to pick: start on Free to build your policy fields and renewal workflow. Move to Standard or Professional as you add producers, and check Zoho’s edition comparison for the custom module limits on each plan.
Watch out for: double entry. Without an AMS integration, policy changes have to be updated in two places. If your agency writes a lot of policies, the time saved by an insurance-specific CRM with AMS integration will usually outweigh the price difference.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best CRM for insurance agents?
For independent property and casualty (P&C) agencies, AgencyZoom is the strongest fit we found with published prices: it starts at $149 a month for up to 7 users and connects to most major agency management systems. Health, senior and benefits agencies should look at AgencyBloc, which is built for that side of the market but quotes its prices.
Do I need an insurance CRM if I already have an agency management system?
An agency management system (AMS) is your system of record for policies, carriers and accounting. A CRM handles the sales and retention work around it: leads, quotes, follow-ups, renewals, cross-selling and referrals. AgencyZoom and InsuredMine are designed to sit alongside your AMS rather than replace it.
Can I use a general CRM like Zoho or HubSpot for an insurance agency?
Yes, and it can be cheaper, but you will need to set up policy types, renewal dates and cross-sell fields yourself, and you will not get the direct AMS or rater integrations that insurance-specific CRMs offer. It suits a small agency with simple needs or a strong administrator.
How much does an insurance agency CRM cost?
AgencyZoom lists plans with AMS integration from $149 to $349 a month, each with up to 7 users, plus $99 and $129 plans with a different feature set that do not list AMS integration. InsuredMine and AgencyBloc price on request. A general CRM such as Zoho CRM starts at $14 per user per month billed annually, with a free edition for up to 3 users.
